This is the privacy policy for Rebekka DeReu, henceforth referred to as “the Company,” “us,” “we,” or “our.”

 

We value your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, store, make use of, and process, how we collect said information, and why we need to collect said information when you access our website or engage with the Company in any way (including marketing, sales, inquiries, or events).​

The policies described below inform you of your rights to your privacy and choices when using the Company's website and services. In the event you do not agree with the Company’s policies, do not use our website or services.

The Information We Collect

The Company collects personal information which you provide to us on an entirely voluntary basis when you use our services and website and/or contact us. The voluntary information you can provide to the Company for collection through our contact form, inquiry form, and newsletter form can include names, email addresses, phone numbers, and company names. The Company does not process or accept sensitive information. When you provide us with information, you stating said information is accurate, true, and complete. The Company collects automatically collected information. This information is collected when you access, navigate, and use our website and services. This information cannot be used to identify you. This information includes usage data, device data (device type, IP address, browser, operating system), referring URLs, language preferences, location, time accessed, pages viewed, and similar technical information. We collect this information to provide you with a safe, accessible, high-quality experience of our website. We also collect this information to track the Company’s analytics for reporting purposes.

How We Process and Use Your Information

The Company processes your personal information for the following reasons:

  • To provide you with our services.

  • To send you information. The Company may use your information in order to send you information about The Company's services and products, changes to these policies, and similar information. 

  • To send you communications for promotional and marketing purposes. Upon your request through our newsletter form and contact form, the Company may use your personal information to send you marketing communications. We only do so when you have specifically requested to receive such information through your marketing preferences. You have the option to unsubscribe to our newsletter and marketing emails whenever you choose. Be aware, our systems can take time to process updates to your subscription status.

  • To protect an individual's life. The Company may use the information you provide us with for the purpose of protecting the life of an individual and their vital interests when necessary.

How and When We Share Your Information

The Company may decide it is necessary to share your information when we are completing business transfers. The Company may transfer or share your personal information during negotiations for or in connection to financing, mergers, sales of the Company’s assets, or in the event of another Company acquiring the Company (in part of full).

Cookies and Tracking Technology

The Company may utilize cookies and other tracking technologies, such as pixels and web beacons, in order to store or access information. These tracking technologies and cookies do not use, track, or retain any information which could be used to identify you (also known as Personally Identifiable Information or PII), including, but not limited, to your IP address. 

 

Cookies and tracking technologies track and collect anonymous, unidentifiable page views, anonymous submissions for requests for contact (this does not include information users provide in the Company’s contact form), log data, usage data, and location data  (not personally-identifiable device location). Log data includes device type, browser type, IP address, event information, and the settings you use in our website and services, and information about your activity in our website and services, including pages viewed, actions taken, features used, and date and time stamps. You can opt out of having your location data collected by disabling the location setting in your device’s settings. If you disable your device’s location setting, you may lose access to or lose full capabilities of certain aspects of the Company’s website and services.

How Long We Store Your Information

The Company only stores your information as long as we find it necessary to fulfill the purposes stated in these policies. The only exception to this is in the event we are required by law to extend our retention periods, including for accounting, tax, and other legal purposes.

​When the Company no longer has any legitimate, ongoing need to use and store your information, the Company will delete your information or make it anonymous. If neither is possible, such as in the event it has been stored and filed in archived backups, then the Company will store and protect your personal information in secure locations until we can delete it.

How We Protect Your Information

The Company does its best to safeguard your information. The Company has implemented security measures to protect any personal information we use, store, and process. However, despite the security measures we take and the efforts we make to protect your information, no action made over the Internet or information storage technologies are guaranteed to be entirely safe and secure. Therefore, the Company cannot guarantee the safety of your information in the event cybercriminals, hackers, or unauthorized third parties dismantle our security measures and steal, access, collect, modify, transmit, store, or otherwise use your information in any way. You transmit your personal information through our website and services at your own risk. You should access the Company's website and services in a safe, secure environment.

Information from Minors

The company does not knowingly request or accept data from children under the age of 18 years old, nor does it knowingly market to minors. When using the Company's website and services, you agree you are 18 years old or older or you are the guardian or parent of a minor and you consent and allow said minor’s use of the Company’s website and services. If the Company learns or discovers it has received and collected personal information from minors (people under the age of 18), we will remove and delete the account and make reasonable actions to delete the associated data from the Company’s records promptly. DNT

Many web browsers, mobile applications, and mobile operating systems utilize a DNT (Do-Not-Track) setting which you are permitted to activate in order to signal the preferences of your privacy, including opting out of the monitoring and collection of your online browsing activities. Currently, there is no uniform, finalized standard for the recognition and implementation of DNT technology. Because of this, the Company does not recognize DMT signals or other mechanisms which communicates and/or dictates your decision to opt out of online tracking. If such a standard in online tracking is expected for the Company to follow in the future, the Company will notify you of this through a revised privacy policy.

California Residents

The “Shine The Light” law (California Civil Code Section 1798.83) permits visitors to the Company’s website and users of the Company's services who are residents of the State of California to, free of charge and once a year, request the Company send them a copy of any personal information the Company may have disclosed and provided to third parties for the purpose of direct marketing and all of the addresses and names of the third parties with whom the Company shared personal information during the calendar year previous to the current calendar year. If you are a resident of the State of California and are requesting such information from the Company, submit your request through https://www.rebekkadereu.com/contact.

​If you reside in the State of California, are under the age of 18 years old, and have registered an account with The Company’s services, you may exercise your right to ask for the removal of any unwanted data which you post publicly on the Company’s services. The Company will ensure the data is not displayed publicly on the Company’s website and services, but be aware the data may remain in and not be comprehensively or wholly removed from or within all of the systems the Company uses (for example, back-up copies, etc.)

Updates to These Policies

We can and will update these privacy policies at any given time. When updated, we will indicate the revisions with a “Revised” notice at the top of the webpage, which will include the date of revision. The updated version of these policies are effective from the moment they are made accessible. If we, the Company, make any important changes to these policies, the COmpany may notify website users, including you, through a posted notice or through direction notifications. We recommend you review these policies on a regular basis to remain informed on the measures we take to protect your information.
